What is best HD video converter ?

I want to edit in after effects, but my camera records MPEG-2 files and after effects would not work with them, but the converter I have converts it to a low quality file. I have an HD camera and I’d like my footage to be in HD.

HD video converter is a software. Upscaling is handled by the codecs assuming you are playing mpeg2 and want to uprez that. To convert from HD to .264 there are plenty of converters around. The thing that’s most important is the codec and the container. The actual software itself doesn’t vary much. I can’t make a lot of sense of your question. Perhaps if you included some more information about what you are trying to achieve is step by step guide to rip DVD and convert any video to other video formats and audio formats for ipod touch/classic/ video/ nano, iphone, zune, PSP, video capable MP3 players etc. Meanwhile, it can also support output almost any audio/video format and audio format. Generally it is easy to use and the converting speed is fast.
