My Fuji film digital camera is displaying ‘memory card error’, what does it mean?

I have a Fuji film DS-220 digital camera, I used it few days before and it was working nicely but today when I switched it, memory card error was written on it’s screen, I don’t have any idea regarding what has gone wrong, and therefore I don’t how to correct it, will it affect my photos, I want to transfer them to my Mac system, will I be able to do so and how?

shally 		Corruption of memory card is sure since you are getting memory card error, and corruption of memory card makes the photos inaccessible although they are present on it. By doing Photo recovery for Mac photos may be retrieved and it is done as follows-
• Attach affected memory card to the card reader of your system
• The card will then be shown as removable drive in the system,
• Run the recovery application, after selecting the drive displayed for memory card.
• From the preview select the photos to be recovered, they will then be stored at a user specified location

spriyasen 		If your digital camera is displaying memory card error that simply means that your memory card is corrupted or damaged. To fix any memory card error, you need to format the card, and for doing so you can take help from user manual of memory card. However, basic steps like setting the camera to playback mode, after pressing menu button, select erase and then select format. Press Ok to confirm selection. After formatting is completed your memory card will be free from errors and photo that was present in it will surely be lost. But, need not worry about it as you will be able to get them back with application of photo recovery software which you can either use on corrupted memory card or after you have formatted it, it is this much capable.
