Is there any software to convert TOD files to iPhone and AVI into MP3?

In my computer system maximum video files are in the format of TOD files and AVI files. Today I bought iPhone. When I tried to play them all on my new iPhone then I found that the IPhone was not accessing the files. Now I want to convert my TOD files in the format of the type of files which can be easily read by my iPhone. Is it possible? Tell me about any Mac AVI converter?
