How to upload MKV videos on YouTube?

I have found one of my favorite videos in MKV format which I want to upload on YouTube so that I can share it with my friend at Georgia. But each time I try to do so, I get an error message which says ‘incompatible file format’. I don’t know what this error is all about as I am not a technical person and have very little knowledge of computers. Please help me to resolve this problem. Any suggestion or help will be appreciated, thank you.

As you know YouTube is a social video sharing site and helps to watch and share videos. But it support MP4, AVI, MOV and OGG format since MKV is not the file format that it supports that‘s why it is showing problems. To resolve this issue you need to convert your MKV format to any of the formats mentioned above and that you can do using any MKV Converter software. The software affectively converts MKV format to the above mentioned formats which you can use to upload into the YouTube and share with your friends.
