How to solve iPhone error 1012?

Yesterday I got new iPhone 2g. How do I restore the iPhone to factory setting when I tried but stuck at the screen next to the “cable connecting to iTunes” when I receive to iTunes to restore to 1.1.3, it almost finishes but at the end it give me unknown error 1012.

Download 1.1.4

Go to iTunes

Connect your iPhone

Hold shift push button

Now click on restore

Find your downloaded version of 1.1.4 click it and see now it will be working. One of the other alternative ways to keep your massage safely by transferring iPhone data to computer by using iPhone backup tool.
