How to play and converter the blu ray/HD content from a disc and to other players? Do I need any dual layer disc player for that?

I am new to blu ray and HD content and need some advice. I have worked with CDs, DVDs and many other discs but now with the advent of technology new and more advanced disc are in the market. It is so new that when I asked about it from my friend they suggested me to play it in the single layer players but it doesn’t worked. Please suggest me something so that I can play the HD contents with my DVD as well as other players.

anurathod 		MTS is also a HD video format that stores the video MPEG-2, MPEG-4/H.264 format. And to run this video you need dual layer disc player. No other player can run this disc since MTS is a HD video container so it must be compatible for other operating systems like Mac, Linux etc. Now, Mac now a days is used a lot and for that you need Mac compatible converter to convert the HD format. MTS Converter for Mac is best regarding this context which effectively converts the MTS format files to other formats. So, enjoy your favorite videos and best of luck.

johnsharp 		You are right my friend, blu ray disc is very new and it is not even properly launched in the market. In these conditions you first need to know something about blu ray disc. This disc is created to store huge volume of data approx. 200GB and you need special players to play this. Its official form is M2TS and MTS format that is HD formats and all the data are stored in this format. So, in order to play the blu ray videos in your portable player you need to convert this to other format for that you need to use any reputed M2TS Converter from the market that can convert your video to other formats efficiently. So, I hope that your problem is solved know.
