Hello, Yes I have also listened about this error plenty of time with other users too. When you try to move or copy large files, the system throw an error box saying the file can not be copied, an unexpected error has occurred, Code 0. But now the solution is available as it is simple and very easy to over come.
The reason is due to the FAT32 partition system. FAT32 has a file size limit and so it won’t allow files bigger than 4 GB. Since the movies actually stated to become so big, it finally crossed the barrier of 4GB and then the problem started. This problem can also occur if you are transferring the file on USB Stick.
There are two ways to solve this problem. First one is to format the destination drive to a different format like make it a HFS volume. If you have windows then make it a windows NTFS partition. You can format the drive using the Disk Utilities in Applications > Utilities.
Sometimes the formatting can become a big problem since if you already have important file on your external drive then you need to split and concatenate the file using application. Otherwise you can archive it using any file compressing tool but still after compression the file size is bigger than 4GB. Therefore using an application that can split the big file into small parts and at the destination again concatenates the files. There are many professional softwares built and available in various software sites that can split and concatenate files from Mac OS X. Just find one of them on internet.
