Why this 0x80072efd error occurs and how it can be fixed?

Ox80072efd is very often reported. I did really not know how this error is being reported but through much of my searches I realized that while accessing to windows updates website this error is being reported. But this is not all the issue. 0x80072efd error is also reported while I am not doing any such activity. I am totally unaware how this error occur and how can I resolve this issue? This is creating a really troublesome situation. Help me sort out this issue.
