Are you unable to access PST files in outlook 2002?

Yesterday morning when I tried to open my Microsoft outlook 2002 to check my email an error message popped up:
“Error has been detected in the file <File_ Path>”.
I restarted my computer and opened outlook once again but the same thing happened again. Could you please tell me why this problem is happening? Why this error message is getting displayed whenever I try to open Microsoft outlook?

Microsoft outlook 98 – 2002 is restricted to 2GB PST file size. If your PST file size exceeds more than 2GB this kind of error might get displayed. First you check that whether your file size has increased or not. If it had then you need to recover your PST file from this kind of error.

This error cannot be repaired with Inbox Repair tool, the inbuilt utility tool of Microsoft outlook. So if you use this tool to repair 2GB PST file error it may hamper your saved data. Avoid using inbox repair tool in this situation.

Instead of that use a third party PST repair tool. There are many PST repair tool available in the internet you can select any suitable to your operating system and get your PST file recovered. And to avoid this kind of error happening again split your oversized PST file into smaller size PST file using split PST tool.
