‘Cannot be played on iPod’ error message. Want to fix it?

I have a large number of playlists songs on my system. It includes audio and video files. Last week I have brought a new iPod 16GB so that I can listen to my favorite playlists anywhere and anytime. I copied some of my favorite audio and video songs on iTunes with help of USB cables. Some of them are copied easily on iPod and some are not. While some which are imported into the movie library play fine in iTunes but when I sync the iPod then it shows an error message ‘cannot be played on iPod’.
So can anybody tells me why this error is giving and how can I fix this problem. Do I need an iPod file converter to solve this error message? Please give some useful information.

wellbaby 		Not all iTunes videos can be transferred to iPod. There are lots of limitations including resolution, bit rate, aspect ratio, size audio codec, and so on. You need convert them to iPod compatible video. Even you already convert your video files to iTunes compatible video MP4, MOV, M4V, sometimes you are still unable to copy them to iPod due to the false specifications output by not so professional video converters.

butterscotch 		Hi, The error which you are getting may be because you have loaded some files that are not supported by the iPod. When you sync the iPod it cannot read the file and send this error message. This is a common error and can be easily solved with the help of iPod file converter. iPod support only few file format. If you have a video file then you have to convert the file into MP4 file to listen in your iPod.
